Our Cozy Three-Day
Itinerary for Two
We’re so glad you’re here! McCaysville, Blue Ridge, and Ellijay have a way of slowing you down, filling your lungs with fresh mountain air, and making time together feel extra special. Here’s how we’d spend a few days if we were in your shoes…
Day One : Thursday
4:00 PM – Check-in at Hey Darlin’ Cottage
Welcome home. Drop your bags, put on your comfiest clothes, and take a deep breath on the porch — the Toccoa River will be your soundtrack all weekend.
5:30 PM – Dinner at Burra Burra on the River
Ease into vacation mode with dinner just down the road. It’s nothing fancy — think good burgers, fish tacos, and a view that reminds you why you’re here.
7:30 PM – Hot Tub Under the Stars
There’s no better way to end your first night at Hey Darlin’. Pour a glass of wine, let the jets do their thing, and look up — the stars out here are magic.
Day Two : Friday
8:30 AM – Breakfast & Coffee at The Folk Collaborative
An orchard-turned-café where the biscuits are buttery, the jam is local, and the coffee is just right. Take home a jar of apple butter — trust us, you’ll thank yourself later.
10:00 AM – Hike to Fall Branch Falls
This one’s a short hike (under a mile round trip), but the payoff is big. A two-tier waterfall tucked in the forest — the perfect spot for a couple’s photo.
12:30 PM – Lunch in Blue Ridge
Two favorites:
Harvest on Main if you’re in the mood for fresh, elevated Southern plates.
Chester Brunnenmeyer’s if you want something hearty in a rustic tavern setting.
2:00 PM – Downtown Strolling & Shopping
Blue Ridge is made for wandering. Pop into boutiques, art galleries, and antique shops. A few of our go-tos:
Blue Ridge Cotton Company for cozy finds.
Out of the Blue for wine + gourmet goodies.
Peachy Keen for unique gifts and home treasures.
4:00 PM – Coffee Pick-Me-Up at Mountain Mamas
Grab a latte or sweet treat — the perfect reset before date night.
6:30 PM – Dinner at Black Sheep
A romantic dinner spot with big flavors. Make a reservation, dress up a little if you’d like, and order a cocktail — they do them right.
Day Three : Saturday
8:00 AM – Slow Morning Breakfast
Stay in your pajamas and make coffee at the cottage, or head to The Café at 32 Toccoa for something local and delicious.
10:00 AM – Ellijay Winery Tour
North Georgia wine country is a gem. Here’s our suggested route (don’t be afraid to linger at your favorites):
Cartecay Vineyards
Cozy, rustic charm.
Buckley Vineyards
Beautiful views and crisp whites.
Ott Farms
Patio with sweeping mountain vistas.
Chateau Meichtry
European-style wines + live music (pack a picnic!).
Fainting Goat Vineyards
End the day with sunset views and a few four-legged friends.
6:30 PM – Dinner
Try Grace for something intimate and refined. Or Twisted Tomato if pizza + wine is calling your name after a full day of sipping..
Day Four : Sunday
8:00 AM – Coffee on the Porch
Don’t rush — soak in the view one more time.
9:30 AM – Brunch
Try Black Sheep if you loved it the first time. Or The Dogwood for laid-back Southern breakfast classics
11:00 AM – Check-out
We’ll be sad to see you go, but we hope your time here leaves you rested, reconnected, and ready to come back again soon!
